• Account data: Name, email address, password (hashed)
• Financial data: Receipts, budget categories, transaction records you upload
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps
• Device data: Browser type, IP address, operating system

2. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the Service
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

3. Data storage

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

4. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data
• Portability: Export your data in machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to certain processing activities

5. Cookies

We use necessary cookies for authentication and optional analytics or marketing cookies only after consent. You can manage cookie preferences from the cookie banner, and your choices are stored for future visits.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is purged within 30 days.

7. Breach notification

If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting your account, we will investigate immediately, contain the incident, and notify impacted customers and regulators where required within 72 hours.
